Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Adult Registered Nurse who has experience or a keen interest in Ophthalmology to join our busy, dedicated and supportive team in Ophthalmology at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated nurse who wishes to contribute to providing compassionate, safe and effective care to our patients. We are a dedicated team who strive to provide high quality ophthalmic care to our patients.

Teamwork and being a team player is an essential attribute required for this post.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be required to work in the busy Ophthalmology Outpatients with rotation to our Day Surgery Ward .

The postholder will be responsible for the assessment, provision, evaluation and implementation of ophthalmic care within these areas.

Also you must posses excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and be able to work well under pressure and within our Multi Disciplinary Team. You will be required to undertake various Ophthalmic diagnostic procedures for which training will be given.
