Apprentice Clinical Trials Coordinator - Two Year Fixed Term Contract

Band 4 Annex 21 for the duration of the apprenticeship:

First 18 months - £23,874 per annum- National Living Wage

On successful completion of the apprenticeship the salary will be Band 4 £27,482pa - £30,162 per annum for the remainder of the contract.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to embark on a Level 3 Business Administrator with Medical Terminology Apprenticeship within the Research Division here at The Christie.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will receive first class training and work towards formal qualifications whilst developing professional skills to provide support to the clinical research team with all aspects of clinical trials administration.

You will be based within the Lung Research Team at The Christie, supporting a large number of commercial, NCRN and clinician-led trials.

Applicants should meet all the essential criteria described in the job description as a minimum. To be successful, you will need to show enthusiasm and motivation. We are looking for candidate(s) with good organisational and communication skills who can work well both in a team and using their own initiative.

As an Apprentice Clinical Trials Coordinator you will be trained to be a valuable member of our team, providing support such as assisting the research nurses, consultants and trial administration/ coordination management team with various aspects of clinical trial administration/ coordination work including; data management, case report form completion, invoicing, communication with trial sponsors, monitors and the wider research community, maintaining electronic records to support the team and assisting with the set up of new studies.

Please note: the successful candidate will be required to undertake the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship qualification, along with the Level 2 qualification in Medical Terminology as an integral part of this appointment.
