We are seeking a dedicated, hard-working and compassionate Band 4 Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Haematology team at The Christie Macclesfield satellite. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in delivering safe, high quality and patient centred care while working alongside with registered nurses and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
As a Band 4, you will bridge the gap between healthcare assistants and registered nurses. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills, contribute to care planning, and make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual who has excellent communication skills, IT literate and problem-solving skills alongside a passion for patient centred care. You will work closely with and support the CNS, ACP and consultants within Haematology services in Macclesfield providing expert care, support and advice to patients receiving treatment within the chemotherapy suite and in an outpatient setting alongside with supporting the family members in line with clinical governance and The Christie's core values and behaviours.
This role includes clinical duties, the development and leadership of nurse-led clinics meeting the needs of the patients and their families.
You will maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and will be expected to facilitate the professional development of nurses within the Division.
