Job summary

The ATTC Network is a world-first programme operating within the NHS framework, to address the unique and complex challenges, of bringing pioneering advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) to patients. Innovate Manchester Advanced Therapy Centre Hub (iMATCH) ATTC, is led by The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will play a key role in supporting delivery of project milestones to maximise clinical trial acceleration for advanced therapies, developing strong relationships, working alongside clinical, non-clinical and other research support staff based within The Christie, and across other NHS/Research/Industry bodies.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the establishment and smooth running of local and national working groups, sitting within the ATTC Clinical Trial Acceleration workstream. They will manage and coordinate projects designed by these working groups, to ensure project outputs are on time and within budget. The post holder will also support a wider Pan UK forum for clinical trial acceleration.

Main duties of the job

To represent iMATCH/the ATTC network at regional or national groups, in relation to programme/project activities. Lead and support iMATCH internal and external communication, so that collaborations and outputs are maximised. Liaise with a wide range of academic, clinical, managerial, and administrative staff throughout the Trust, and other academic, healthcare and industry partners/stakeholders across iMATCH, on a local, national, and international basis. Arrange and administer project meetings and communicate sensitive information about performance and change.

The development of project scoping, also preparation, implementation and evaluation of project plans with partners and governing boards, to support the acceleration of ATMP clinical trials in the UK. Development of risk management strategies and monitoring tools and ability to raise areas of concern with the Programme Manager.

To identify potential future funding opportunities, which add value to current iMATCH project aims and deliverables. Assist in the oversight of project budgets with The Christie and University of Manchester finance departments.

This role is hybrid, combining home working with an expectation to travel to site and external meetings.

Project Management

  • Input to the development of project scoping from an early stage, with key partners and governing boards
  • Prepare and submit project plans, with clear deliverables, milestones and targets and ensure all approvals have been gained prior to research commencing
  • Establish, manage, and coordinate relevant local and national ATMP working groups, including a clinical advisory group and scoping and feasibility group to drive expertise across the ATMP field and ensure relevant discussions feed in and out of the ATTC programme as appropriate.   • Represent iMATCH/the ATTC network at regional or Pan UK forums or working groups in relation to programme/project activities
  • Serve as a main point of contact for associated research teams and study investigators, external funding bodies, pharmaceutical companies etc, as applicable
  • Lead and support iMATCH internal and external communication so that collaborations and outputs are maximised
  • Liaise with a wide range of academic, clinical, managerial, and administrative staff throughout the Trust, and other academic, healthcare and industry partners/stakeholders across iMATCH, on a local and national basis

  • Draft abstracts and posters for local, national and international conferences
