About us
The Oesophago-Gastric (OG) team has a dedicated research clinic and a portfolio of more than 15 academic and commercial trials evaluating novel drug combinations, including use of immunotherapy alongside chemotherapy in OG cancer. Additionally, the OG team at the Christie (led by Professor Was Mansoor) have a specific research interest in the relationship between sarcopenia (loss of skeletal muscle mass), nutrition, fitness and treatment response / toxicity / overall survival with cytotoxic chemotherapy. This is currently being evaluated within context of the observational ANCHOR trial, for which the fellow will be responsible for supporting continued data collection and analysis of the cohort.
