The Christie Digital programme spans both its operational and research initiatives. The Christie digital ambition over the next 5 years will allow: -
- Better use of digital to improve the experience for both the Staff and the patient experience.
- Digital technologies to enable the reduction of footfall of patient and staff where appropriate whilst working to protect our patient and staff when face to face contact is required.
- Improve standards of care through better data.
- Digital technologies to enhance the new outpatients' service and creating a seamless patient flow through the hospital from arrival to the clinic.
- Providing a digital platform that supports the development of world-renowned research.
- Expand our digital services to support staff to deliver the high standards of care across a wider networked care model.
- Delivery of a richer data model to capture the whole health record, to ensure better decision-making, efficient services and improve care across the wider Greater Manchester and Cheshire area.
- Leverage the investment in a locally developed Electronic Health Record.
- Digitising the slide - enablement of remote reporting of Histopathology
Main duties of the job
As a trust we want the ability to offer access to trials to all eligible patients and as the Christie's Digital Service we want to enable all trials to be cutting edge digital trials. We want to offer different innovative ways for patients to connect with us and be in control of their management of their health and outcomes.
We are now looking for a project manager to join the team in delivery of the programme. This role is to support and enable the continued delivery of projects to benefit our patients and staff enabling cancer care.

As a Trust we want to stay at the forefront of care through new technological advances including Proton Beam, Bio Medical Research and experimental cancer therapies. As the Christie's Digital Service we need to deliver the digital platforms to support these advances from the design, development and capture of the data to the outcomes and experiences of these treatments to bring knowledge and insight that that data will bring, to change, improve treatments provided and ultimately aid the cure.
