Estates Maintenance Operative

Job summary

Do you want to make a difference for patients? As a Maintenance Assistant you could do just that. You will join the Estates Team to assist in the necessary maintenance duties to ensure the safe and continuous operation of buildings located within the Trust.

You will undertake specific maintenance tasks and will assist in the maintenance and repairs across the range of buildings within the Trust. ,

Main duties of the job

  • You will assist with and carry out routine maintenance tasks, including statutory, mandatory and planned minor repair works to a range of buildings and their components (after in house training as required).
  • You will liaise with the Estates management to request the supply of goods and/or services as necessary.
  • You will undertake and assist with essential works and general maintenance activities at the request of the Workload coordinator.
  • You will be available in work via the handheld device system (training provided) to contribute and work towards the safety and welfare of patients and other staff and respond to any incidents e.g.,fire, flood, trapped patients.
