Job summary

The Digital Transformation Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the Enabling Digital Programmes within the Healthier Futures Transformation Plan are well defined and understood both within the organisation, with our wider partners and national teams. This role will manage a portfolio of different initiatives and will develop comprehensive business cases to justify digital initiatives, identifying and articulating the benefits, and creating robust change management approaches to ensure successful implementation. The Transformation Manager will need to work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders and build strong lasting relationships for the duration of the programme. This includes healthcare professionals, IT teams, external partners, other NHP sites and the wider healthcare technology market to define the transformation strategy. This includes understanding the impact of digital technologies on hospital operations, patient care, and overall efficiency. Additionally, the Transformation Manager will ensure the organisation is prepared for change by developing and implementing strategies to facilitate readiness and smooth adoption of new digital tools and processes.

Main duties of the job

The role also includes managing devolved elements of the programme budget, ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively. The Programme Manager will have financial oversight responsibilities, including tracking expenditures, forecasting financial needs, and reporting on budget status to senior management.

They will be responsible for defining the investment portfolio for anumber of technologies associated with the Healthier Futures Programme, and will support the Digital Programme Manager ensure that digital initiatives can be prioritised and implemented effectively over the course of the programme, and for the hospital opening. This involves evaluating potential technologies, liaising with the market, assessing technology alignment with both the programme and wider organisation's goals, and making recommendations about resource allocation.

Day to day, the Transformation Manager will be responsible for managing subgroups within the programme, and associated deliverables within the workstream, ensuring the delivery of vital components to the Healthier Futures Programme, to ensure its success.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in digital technologies, project management, and healthcare systems, who can effectively manage relationships and interdependencies between various workstreams and departments.
