Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Corporate Accountant to join our Management Accounts team. The role is a key member of our close knit Finance team and being a team player is crucial to the success of the role.
This role will heavily support month end, analysis and improvement. Stakeholders will primarily be the internal finance team and advanced skills required for with excel, power query and more. Mid Cheshire is on a journey to excellence, and require an individual in this role who will be able to support with FSD accreditation and internal system and improvement processes.
This role is not based within direct divisions but will support with consolidating the trust wide position, support with cost saving strategies and supporting the Management Accountants. Leadership skills are essential as well as the ability to review and improve processes so that workload is more streamlined and effective.
Mid Cheshire Finance team is undergoing significant transformation, and the post holder will be a key part in this journey towards excellence.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will possess the skills of a Deputy Finance Business Partner but will not be divisional facing. This role will require processing of transactions, as well as providing high level complex financial support and leadership in financial issues.
Duties include, although not limited to:
Supporting budgetary control processes and timely reporting to the financial position
Supporting analysis of the financial position, by analysing trends and variances, with a view to identify ways to reduce the trust run rate
Line Management for the Finance Assistant including recruitment, training and development
Continually review, develop and enhance the month end processes for the who trust, providing specialist training in particular areas within and outside of the Department (e.g. budget holder training),
Leading on the Finance accreditation,
Supporting complex cross cutting Efficiency schemes
