Job summary
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Hand and Wrist, based at Leighton Hospital, Crewe. This is a fixed term post until 30/01/2026.
The successful applicant will join a dynamic forward thinking team of Orthopaedic Surgeons with a range of special interests, including lower limb arthroplasty, foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow and hand and wrist.
The orthopaedic sub division is supported by a full time Consultant Orthogeriatrician and an accompanying team.
The successful applicant must have full registration with the GMC and continue to hold a Licence to Practice.
Main duties of the job
Whilst the successful candidate will work the majority of their time at Leighton, there will be occasions where it will be necessary to work at Victoria Royal Infirmary, Northwich for outpatient clinics.
The successful candidate will provide a rage of duties including elective operating, trauma operating, elective and fracture clinics, MDT and on-call.
