Job summary

Cheshire Occupational Health Service is a collaboration between Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS FT and East Cheshire Trust.

Following service review we are looking for an experienced physiotherapist to join the Occupational Health team to lead on the management and treatment of MSK.

This is a new role and the successful candidate will be pivotal in the design and establishment of the service.

You will hold a clinical caseload providing assessment and physiotherapy to employees at both Trusts across Crewe and Macclesfield sites. You will also work directly with the Head of Occupational Health on health improvement projects across the Trusts.

You will need to have demonstrated experience of working in a band 6 MSK role , be a good communicator and have an interest in developing your specialist skills and knowledge within staff wellbeing and occupational health.

Main duties of the job

To act as an advanced clinical specialist responsible for the triage, assessment and treatment of colleagues referred with musculoskeletal disorders into Occupational Health. To have a specific remit for the management of colleagues with MSK conditions and supporting their management with a biopsychosocial approach as relevant.

To work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team in to access and act upon relevant diagnostic tests and make relevant onward referral to the pain service and MCATS.

To act as the lead clinician within specialist area, supporting the operational delivery of an MSK Occupational Health function and service development initiative for Leighton and Macclesfield Hospitals, ensuring consistent service delivery.
