An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dietitian with an interest in respiratory medicine to join the dietetic team at Mid Cheshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, based at Leighton Hospital, as a full time Band 6 dietitian.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a key member of the medical dietetic team, providing a specialist dietetic service to complex respiratory /medical patients. The post holder will enjoy close working relationships with the multidisciplinary team. They will cover a dietetic outpatient clinic supporting a wide range of patients allowing us to see for timely nutritional intervention.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate relevant skills and experience in oral and enteral nutritional support, support can be provided to extend these skills. The post holder will support the training, mentoring and development of junior dietetic staff and students, providing opportunities for developing leadership skills. This post sits within a supportive clinical team with dietetic assistants and administrative support.
The service places a strong emphasis on clinical and peer supervision and has a well-established program facilitating the training of dietetic students on clinical placements

To formulate, deliver and monitor nutritional care plans for referred patients. This would include highly complex clinical conditions and diet therapy, across the medical/respiratory wards and outpatient clinics
To be recognised as an expert source of knowledge in the field of medical/respiratory nutrition, contributing to development of clinical guidelines, resources and education packages
