Job summary
The New Hospital Programme (NHP) is the name given to describe the work being undertaken to design, build and implement a replacement for the existing Leighton Hospital. The NHP Workforce Lead holds a crucial role within the NHP, developing and delivering on all aspects of the project relating to our people.
Main duties of the job
The NHP Workforce Lead holds a crucial role within the NHP, developing and delivering on all aspects of the project relating to our people.
The post holder will work proactively with the project team, to support the timely delivery of all people aspects of the project, working closely with the existing Workforce teams. Providing expert advice and guidance, they will lead the development and delivery of workforce plans to ensure a smooth transition between current practice and new ways of working and the transition to the new build.
The postholder will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the talent management strategy and organisational effectiveness initiatives for the development and operation of the new hospital. A key responsibility will be to ensure the recruitment, development, and retention of highly skilled professionals, as well as driving organisational excellence and efficiency.
There will be a focus on transformational and effective change management, ensuring this is both inclusive and engaging; the development of new roles and ways of working to ensure both quality and efficiency improvements. The role will be responsible for Workforce Transformation as part of the NHP, working closely with the senior People and OD Team and the Business Partner team.
