An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Full Time Apprentices to join our busy and friendly Medical Records Department. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated team player(s) who have excellent communication skills and previous experience of dealing with the public. The main areas within Medical Records that you could be part of include:
- Referral management: creating referrals, waiting list entries, and maintaining patient demographics and data quality on the patient administration system
- Appointment management: booking appointments, arranging transport
- Health Records management: retrieval, preparation and filing patient information/data
- General administration: printing correspondence, photocopying, faxing or e-mailing reports/letters according to the requirements of the service

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will support your team by carrying out a full range of clerical and admin duties. You will be providing and excellent customer service and building effective working relationships, all of which is great experience, and helps to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
You will be expected to maintaining high standards of professionalism and to work in line with the Trust's values and behaviours.
You will be motivated and enthusiastic, punctual, reliable, smart appearance and hard working with a professional mature and sensible attitude.
You will be employed on an 18 month fixed term contract with an additional 3 month EPA (End-point assessment), 37.5 hours per week (but, remember, the majority of our previous apprentices have chosen to stay with the Trust and moved into permanent roles following their apprenticeship).
You must meet the apprenticeship eligibility criteria
- Be 16 years or older
- Must have been a UK resident for the last 3 years
Must not a hold a level 3 or above qualification in the subject

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) provides good quality, safe and effective healthcare to the people of Cheshire and beyond.

- Support initiatives for the team
- To create and maintain reports, spreadsheets and correspondence using a variety of computer packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Processing, filing and distributing confidential reports and documents
- Maintain databases
- Carryout any photocopying, scanning or filing as required
- To undertake any duties commensurate with the post
- Assist and support with typing and filing correspondence as delegated
- Deliver and retrieve correspondence to and from various departments as and when required.
- Support senior staff and team members by providing general housekeeping duties such as reporting faults with office equipment; arrange collection of confidential waste/ recycling.
- Answer telephone and deal with enquires to the best of your ability
- Collection of, opening and sorting mail
- Maintenance of files/ records/ and any relevant documentation.
