Job summary
We have exciting opportunities for a number of Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technicians to join our amazing Pharmacy Team.
You will perform medicines reconciliation, patient counselling and preparation of patient medications for discharge. you will dispense and label prescriptions in our automated dispensary and this year we have exciting plans in place for the replacement of our robot and a dispensary refit.
The successful applicant will be a registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain and a fully qualified accuracy checker able to check dispensed prescriptions that have been clinically checked by a pharmacist in accordance with Trust procedures. They will be required to supervise trainee technicians, assistants and other support staff and you will be a role model to others.
Main duties of the job
To provide staff support, training, management and guidance under the direction of a senior member of staff.
Medicines Management:
- Patient counselling
- Medicine reconciliation
- Discharge medicines service
Dispensing, medicines supply and accuracy checking of:
- Stock medicines
- Inpatient and outpatient medicines
