Job summary

CCICP Community Diabetes Specialist Nursing service is looking for a Diabetes Specialist Nurse who possesses clinical expertise within diabetes to competently manage a clinical caseload within local and national guidelines with a key focus on clinical governance. The service embraces new technologies for all adults in their journey with diabetes, including pregnancy and young persons. Working autonomously you will support complex patients in developing skills and knowledge to self- manage their diabetes and support the service in ensuring all clinical governance aspects are managed .

Main duties of the job

The role involves responsibility for clinical delivery and requires an ability to make a comprehensive assessment of priorities to ensure quality of patient care.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate successful team working to support the service agenda in meeting the challenges of evolving diabetes care.

You will have a keen eye for detail and lead to ensure all clinical governance requirements are in place.

About us

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) provides good quality, safe and effective healthcare to the people of Cheshire and beyond.
