Advanced Paediatric Pharmacist - Critical Care

Job summary
This is a rare opportunity to join our advanced paediatric pharmacist team helping to run our Critical Care service.
We have a 48 bedded Critical Care unit with 24 PICU beds 16 HDU beds and 8 regional burns unit beds.
Post holder will work closely with the Principal Pharmacist for the surgical division and the associate chief pharmacist for clinical services to continue to modernise and transform our critical care service going forward.
Our aim is for post holder to work towards consultant accreditation over the next five years.
Main duties of the job

To be responsible as advanced specialist for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients within the critical care wards (PICU and HDU)

To supervise and support Clinical Pharmacists providing pharmaceutical care to paediatric patients and provide training for pre-registration students and other staff.

To provide training to medical and nursing staff on medicine related issues

Take part in and lead sedation ward round and any other related activities

Provide advice to clinical teams on the management of patients in critical care area
