Job summary
The post holder carries responsibility and accountability for the health care management of their patient group, in collaboration with senior nurses and Team Leaders. The band 5 staff nurse will be responsible for assessing, coordinating and reviewing family centered care package within the community.
Main duties of the job
To assess, coordinate and review family centred care package in partnership with colleagues or senior staff and ultimately without direct supervision. This will include undertaking neurodevelopmental history assessments, EHCP reviews, school observations and Quantitative Behavioural (QB) tests.
Actively participate in supervision for junior staff and students and participate in clinical supervision.
Ensure child protection issues are acted upon promptly and appropriately.
Continuously develop the clinical role in order to be able to work independently, anticipate care needs of patients and actively manage their journey through the Trust. This includes being able to work independently or as part of a team in potentially stressful, distressing or emotional circumstances including life support and assessment.
Undertake any other duties as appropriate to the grade as delegated by the Senior Nurse.
