An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Lead for our Newly transformed ASD and ADHD Services which are part of the Community and Mental Health Division at Alder Hey.
As the Clinical Lead you would be expected to work alongside the Service Manager and Medical Leads, providing leadership in relation to clinical and managerial issues arising within the Neurodevelopmental Service. The post holder will be required to demonstrate substantial clinical leadership, innovation and independence in a professional context and have the ability to problem solve in a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency framework.
Main duties of the job
As Clinical Lead you will work collaboratively with the Service Manager and Medical Lead focussing on service development, clinical standards and quality improvement across the whole service.
The Clinical Lead will be expected to provide when required expert clinical advice both within service and to external partners, lead on the coordination of care and treatment for children and young people as appropriate, provide clinical supervision to clinicians within the service, undertake clinical audit and use audit findings to influence improvements in quality standards.
Working closely with the Director and Associate Chief Nurse for the division, commissioners and external agencies, the Clinical Lead will have a key role in relation to the coordination and implementation of strategies relating to ASD and ADHD, focusing on relationships and inter-agency working to ensure safety and positive outcomes for all children and young people accessing the services.
You will need excellent communication, organisational, time management and delegation skills.

About Alder Hey's Neuro-developmental Service
The Neuro-developmental service is about to go live following an exciting co-produced transformation programme. This has seen us bring together the ASC and ADHD services that are currently separate with the aim of improving the experience for families, young people and professionals. Representatives from the ICB and parent and carers forums have been active members of the programme. The service is made up of multi-disciplinary teams with staff from varied backgrounds including Health care support workers, peer support workers, psychology, social work, nursing, teaching, psychiatry, developmental paediatrics, Occupational Therapy and Speech and language therapy. In addition, our team members are highly trained in a wealth of different skills and interventions from assessment through to prescribing and health monitoring as well as post diagnostic support. The services are well embedded into the localities with close links into schools and partnerships with third sector providers.
The team are based on the Alder Hey Campus, and offer appointments from Alder Hey and/or community locations.
