We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join Alder Hey. As a Multi-Disciplinary Co-Ordinator/Data Tracker, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support to the Multi-disciplinary teams, co-ordinating and facilitating the meetings and tracking suspected and diagnosed cancer patients through their pathways.In particular, you will be responsible for the accurate production of agendas and minutes and producing accurate data tracking and escalating where necessary to manager to maintain pathways.To succeed we are looking for someone who:Is committed to delivering excellent patient service;Has previous clerical/administration experience;Can accurately type live at meetingsHas strong IT skills in relation to Microsoft packages including word/excel and Microsoft,Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;Has previous experience of working in the NHS;

Knowledge of the Somerset Cancer Register would be beneficial.

Main duties of the job

  • Develop and maintain close links (as the Principal Treatment Centre for Children's Cancers) with Shared Care Centres and the Teenage and Young Adult MDT
  • Maintain close links with CCLG and other identified research groups
  • Be responsible for the management of the patient pathway ensuring that referrals are mapped and information / data is recorded in a timely manner
  • Be responsible for the completeness of data collection in line with National requirements and it's submission to the North West Cancer Intelligence Service (Registry)
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal and external colleagues to ensure that treatment plans are delivered in a smooth, timely and appropriate manner in line with patient need
  • Liaise with the Lead Clinician, Oncology Unit Manager and other members of the MDT to ensure that patients are appropriately supported along their pathway
