Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join the Division of Medicine management team on a permanent basis to provide management oversight of the Medical Staffing functions within the division. This includes line management of the rota team and oversight of key medical rotas across the division.
The Operational Manager - Medical Staffing is an integral part of the overall Divisional management structure and will support the division with the operational management of the medical workforce.
The Operational Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the medical rotas, with support of rota coordinators, supporting change management to improve working lives of the junior doctors and supporting the recruitment and induction of medical staff across the division.
The Operational Manager will work closely with the speciality management teams to ensure leadership to support the medical staffing within the division is line with the strategic direction of service lines and supporting the management of day to day service issues.
Main duties of the job
The role is an essential and pivotal role, providing operational day to day management support across the division . The Operational Manager will be responsible for the management of the rota team and oversight of key medical rotas across the division. The Operational Manager will work closely with the relevant service, assistant service and speciality managers (where applicable) to ensure the management of medical staffing is in line with the strategic direction of the clinical services and supporting the management of day to day service issues.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
