Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to be Operational Service Manager for the Gender Service for the North of England. The Children and Young People's Gender Service is a Phase 1 Provider of Gender Services provided in partnership by Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

The postholder will support the management of day-to-day operational issues in the service and will have responsibility for providing management and leadership to the operational and administrative and clerical teams. The postholder will enable the successful delivery of high quality services for children, young people and their families and will ensure that systems and process that enable the team to function effectively are successfully embedded within the service.

Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be well organised, innovative with the ability to work well autonomously as well as part of a team and will be committed to improving services for children, young people and their families.

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in NHS or other health related management

  • Post Grad certificate in management
