Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Lead for our Liverpool CAMHS Services which is part of the Community and Mental Health Division at Alder Hey.
As the Clinical Lead you would be expected to display excellent leadership and organisational skills, work closely with a variety of different professional teams across Trust and wider agencies, develop and mentor staff within the team and work alongside the Service Manager and Medical Lead to ensure that the service continues to provide the highest standards of care to children and young people.
Main duties of the job
As Clinical Lead you will work collaboratively with the Service Manager and Medical Lead focussing on service development, clinical standards and quality improvement across the whole service.
The Clinical Lead will be expected to provide when required expert clinical advice both within service and to external partners, lead on the coordination of care and treatment for children and young people as appropriate, provide clinical supervision to clinicians within the service, undertake clinical audit and use audit findings to influence improvements in quality standards.
Working closely with the Director Community & Mental Health Services, commissioners and external agencies, the Clinical Lead will have a key role in relation to the coordination and implementation of mental health strategies, focussing on relationships and inter-agency working to ensure safety and positive outcomes for all children and young people accessing the services.
You will need excellent communication, organisational, time management and delegation skills.

Liverpool CAMHS comprises of several multi-disciplinary teams with staff from varied backgrounds including psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing and psychotherapy. In addition, our team members are trained in a wealth of different therapeutic interventions and approaches, making the teams truly multi-disciplinary.
The team are based in Babbage House Innovation Park, and offer appointments from Innovation Park, Alder Hey and/or community locations.

- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent pre 1996) Registration with HCPC OR A recognised health or social care qualification and be registered with the appropriate governing body supported by experience at an equivalent doctorate level
- Post-grad training in a recognised therapeutic specialty and be registered with UKCP/HCPC or equivalent OR Clinical Masters Degree combined with relevant experience at doctorate level or equivalent
