Job summary

The Alder Hey Development Team are looking for an experienced Project Manager, with an Engineering back ground to deliver a number of prestigious and high profile projects across the Hospitals Campus and within the community. Projects range in value and would be either delivered directly by the Project Manager or in support of more senior staff within the team. Main duties of the job

Please see the Job Description and Person Specification for more information but some of the responsibilities include:

To be responsible for the design (computer aided design), specification, post contract control and project management of capital schemes undertaken by the Development Team within the entire Trust. To independently manage a portfolio range of delegated projects from £250k to £10M from inception to completion, including project management, design, contract administration, site supervision and commissioning under the Trust Capital Programme.

Responsible for the site quality control of all building and construction, on multiple/large capital projects throughout the Trust.

Responsible for ensuring that all schemes managed, comply fully with all guidance and Statutory Standards including CDM Regulations.

Responsible for assisting the Senior Project Manager & Associate Development Director in a range of estate management duties.

Work as a team member within the Development Team providing essential building design and advice for all capital projects, new build and refurbishment projects.

  • Degree level in Building and Construction, Mechanical or Electrical, or Building Services and/or HNC with equivalent and relevant experience.
  • Professional membership of relevant organization, such as RICS, MCIOB, CIAT, IET, IHEEM, CIBSE.
