This is an excellent opportunity to come and join the Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) team at Liverpool Heart and Chest hospital. This Advanced Clinical Practitioner opportunity sits within the Surgical division and the successful candidate will become part of an established Cardiothoracic Surgical Advanced Clinical Practitioner team.
This is an opportunity for candidates to join our team and develop their career in this speciality. The ACP is expected to exercise independent judgement to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of patients in the Cardiothoracic service.
Applications are welcome from individuals who do not have the MSc in Advanced Practice (or equivalent) but are committed to undertaking this programme. This would be offered as a training position at a band 7 while completing the MSc programme.
Main duties of the job
The Advanced Practitioner role is predominantly ward based, with clinical responsibilities driven by the medical management of the patients within the service. Alongside ward duties, Advanced Clinical Practitioner clinics and continued service development with also be an integral part of the role. They will play an active part in audit, quality improvement, research and the development of local multidisciplinary guidelines and protocols, incorporating current best evidence in consultation with other healthcare professionals.
