Job summary
We require a full time Exercise Physiologist to work as part of the Exercise Physiology team within the Therapies Department at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (LHCH) on a temporary basis until April 2026 to cover maternity leave.
Main duties of the job
We provide specialised exercise therapy to Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programmes in LHCH, Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trusts (LUHFT) and community settings within Liverpool.You will be qualified to degree level in Exercise Physiology, be dynamic and motivated, with experience of exercise training, assessment and prescription. Experience of working with clinical populations is desirable but not essential.
You must have a car and be insured for business purposes to travel to and from community venues and patient homes.
Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in delivering excellent patient-centred care.The application process will close earlier than the proposed date if enough quality applications are received.
