Job summary

We are inviting applications to the position of Highly Specialist Physiotherapist for Cystic Fibrosis within Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a specialist interest in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and the aspiration to undertake a new challenge in a CQC rated outstanding NHS Trust. A desire to drive services forward, develop high performing teams and provide efficient and effective clinical services is essential. With the support of the wider MDT including the CF service you will have the opportunity to complete research and undertake project work to improve the services provided to our client group.

Main duties of the job

This role is varied and would be ideally suited to an individual with values aligned to the Trust values of IMPACT. Developed leadership skills are required as you will lead the medical and cystic fibrosis therapy service providing day to day operational management and leadership to lower band clinicians and support workers. With highly developed respiratory skills you will be expected to provide support and teaching to lower band colleagues within your scope of practice. You will also lead the organisation, and provision of training for on call physiotherapists, alongside physiotherapy colleagues.

Clinically you will provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients with a diagnosis of cystic fibrosis in a range of settings including inpatients, outpatients, virtual clinics and at home.

As an 8a Physiotherapist, you will also be expected to work alongside the therapy leads, deputising when required and providing support in the operational provision of the wider therapy service.

The role is full time 37.5 hours per week, core service hours are Monday to Friday 8am-4pm.
