Job summary

The Innovation Agency Project Support Officer will support the delivery of a nationally commissioned programme delivered by the Innovation Agency, the Academic Health Science Network for the North West Coast. The Innovation Agency is hosted by Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a new role that will work on the National Insights Prioritisation Programme (NIPP) which aims to build on learning from new ways of working established during the pandemic. The NIPP will focus on evaluating innovative approaches to improving the care of newborns in our region. The project will explore models of Early Supported Discharge for Neonates in the region, to identify which model delivers the most benefits to parents and newborns.

The post holder will be involved in delivering transformational insights for the local health and care system.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will form part of the programme delivery team within the Innovation Agency, providing comprehensive business support. This will involve stakeholder and relationship management by utilising communication mechanisms to provide up to date and relevant information.

The post holder will undertake a wide range of administrative tasks and take personal responsibility for a range of delegated activities including and not limited to;

· Project administrative and clerical support;

· Manage and maintain all reporting elements;

· Arranging and coordinating events and educations sessions (including physical and digitally delivery) and supporting these on the day to ensure they run as planned;

· Liaising closely with internal teams to support Innovation Agency goals

· Liaising closely with the NIPP research team at the Northwest Coast Applied Research Collaborative (ARC)

Key Responsibilities

· To take direction from lead NIPP Programme Managers to ensure the smooth running of the programme

· To act as an ambassador for the Innovation Agency

  • To produce and/or monitor project and programme management documentation, including plans, progress reports and performance metrics

· To answer/deal with queries, via various media, ensuring onward communication to the relevant member of staff in an appropriate and timely manner

· To provide support to deliver an efficient and professional service to Innovation Agency staff in relation to all programme work

· To manage projects within the organisation using Verto and following reporting guidelines and processes

· Have a friendly, flexible approach and retain the ethos that we lead with generosity and practice the cultural ethics we deliver

· Ensure all required documentation for events, meetings and programme workshops are managed effectively, including the production of simple reports

Communication and Relationship Skills

· Provide excellence in customer service in line with the Agency’s values to all internal and external staff and learners;

· Be the first point o contact to respond to queries

  • Ensures that PSO administration fits with the overall programme and project direction, strategic organisational priorities, vision and culture

· To assist in managing information to ensure access to others is on a need to know basis in line with Information Governance;

· Work collaboratively with management teams and other departments in the provision of data and reports from management systems;

· Attend and take part in team meetings and regular reviews with line manager
