Job summary
We are recruiting highly specialised
physiologists in echocardiography or BSE accredited physiologists with
proven competency in transthoracic echocardiography; training will be offered
to fulfil band 7 competencies.
This
is an exciting opportunity for candidates to develop their career across some
very specialist areas in the largest single site heart and chest hospital in
the country. We offer training and education and are supported by five imaging
consultants.
Main duties of the job
This
position will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to participate in
complex echo techniques including stress and contrast echo, TOE and invasive
procedures requiring echo support.
The Echo department covers many specialist areas including ICC, Valve clinic, Cardio oncology and Sports/athlete clinics.
The successful candidate will also be
required to participate in a rota to cover community based clinics.
The
successful candidate will also assist in the development and delivery of
training plans. The candidate should be able to provide evidence of continuing
professional development.
