Shift pattern:

Post : 30.5 hours over

4 Days 7am 3pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7am -3.30pm (including bank holidays)

We are seeking candidates to the role of Supervisor in Hygiene Services (Cleaning services). This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team using your competencies and behaviors. Successful candidates will report to and work closely with the Hygiene Team Leader.

This is an excellent job opportunity for an enthusiastic team player to join our busy growing department .

The candidate will need a range of people skills and excellent IT skills that will be required to fulfill the role.

Main duties of the job

In order to be successful as a Supervisor you will need to demonstrate that you are able to:

  • Focus your team on achieving the National cleaning standards by monitoring performance and reinforcing the need to sustain and improve standards
  • Lead team meetings to engage with staff communicating standards, activity changes and all operational aspects of the service. And ensure staff have the opportunity to give feedback via team meetings
  • Provide on-going development and coaching for your team in order to deliver the best levels of service
  • Act as a role model with a can-do approach setting high standards, leading your team to ensure quality, safety and standards across the Trust

Recognising changes can be challenging, especially at the current time, you would need to possess excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others.

About us

We are a large team of hygiene assitaints and have around 60 hygiene assistaints working across 3 shifts covering a 24 hour 7 days a week service.

We are busy hard working department who strive on being the best.

We work to the highest possible standard to achieve excellent cleaning standards across the trust.

In order to be successful as a Supervisor you will need to demonstrate that you are able to:

Focus your team on achieving the National cleaning standards by monitoring performance and reinforcing the need to sustain and improve standards

  • Diploma or equivalent level
  • Vocational level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Requires 2 years experience as a team leader/ supervisor within any organisation
  • Experience of using different IT systems
  • Microsoft word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Office
  • Supervision/ delegation of tasks
  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Experience in input and retrieval of information on hospital systems
  • Experience implementing policies or change in practice
  • Can deliver on the job training to staff

  • Business admin level 3/ equivalent or working towards
  • Previous NHS experience
