Job summary

Job summary A great opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Nurse Associate to join the cardiac catheter labs at LHCH. The role will involve assisting qualified registered nurses in the delivery of invasive cardiac procedures. Including both elective and emergency diagnostic studies and intervention procedures.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job The Nurse Associate will: • Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (or other registered care professional dependent of setting) with a focus on promoting health and independence • Have proficient attitudes and behaviors compatible with NHS Values • Work as part of a designation clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual • Carry out specific delegated clinical can care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competence, under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or other registered care professional dependent of setting • Provide feedback to assist in the evaluation of the Nursing Associate pilot programme

Overview of your organization The department comprises of 5 cardiac catheterization labs and there is currently a extensive programme of refurbishment and extension of current lab numbers. There is a large and growing electrophysiology service which is one of the largest in the UK. JOB SUMMARY The post holder will have successfully completed the 2-year Trainee Nursing Associate training programme, which includes the attainment of a level 5 Foundation Degree equivalent qualifications and NMC registration. The role of the Nursing Associate is to work with the Registered Nurse and other members of the multi professional team, providing and monitoring care and contributing to the ongoing assessment, as agreed with the supervising clinician(s) and in line with the service pathways. They will monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the multi professional team
