We are recruiting for an NMC Register Nursing Associate
This is a part time 27 hour per week position you will be expected to work flexible shifts, days & nights.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a flexible approach to work who possess excellent interpersonal and organization skills, to work alongside our dedicated teams. The successful applicant will form part of the clinical team, reporting to an identified healthcare professional.
The role of the Nursing Associate works with the Registered Nurse and other members of the multi-professional team, providing and monitoring high quality care and contributing to the ongoing assessment, as agreed with supervising clinician(s) and in line with the service pathways. They will monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the multi-professional team.
To enable you to qualify for this position you MUST be a Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC Register with a Foundation Degree in a Nursing Associate programme. The validity of NMC PIN will be checked before shortlisting - inaccuracies in NMC PIN details will mean your application will not be progressed.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills when dealing with both patients & relatives and can make a clear decision with confidence and communicate this effectively.
Nursing Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment; and will act in accordance with the NMC Code: Professional Standards of Practice and Behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates.
Newton Intermediate Care Unit is a 30 bedded facility based at Newton Community Hospital. This role and will expose you to new experience, working within a multidisciplinary environment providing sub-acute medical care and rehabilitation. You will have responsibility as a Band 5 Staff nurse working on a rotational basis.
As an important part of the team, you will be expected to work both independently and alongside your colleagues to provide the highest level of patient care.

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
