We have a fantastic opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team at Seddon Suite Specialist Rehabilitation Unit, St Helens Hospital.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Physiotherapist to this Band 6 fixed termcontract / secondment contract post to cover maternity leave. The successfulapplicant will be part of a motivated, forward thinking, close multidisciplinary team ofMedics, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and LanguageTherapists, Dietitians, Rehabilitation Assistants, Clinical Psychologists, aRehabilitation Coordinator, Social Worker and Rehabilitation Nurses. The medicalteam is led by a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine.
Seddon Suite offers a dedicated seven-day rehabilitation service for Merseysideresidents. It is part of the Cheshire and Merseyside Rehabilitation Network providingspecialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for adults following traumaticinjury or serious illness. The rehabilitation unit has 20 beds, with facilities for a rangeof therapeutic treatments. Rehabilitation is active and is provided at a level ofintensity and duration that can be tolerated by the patient to realise their optimumfunctional potential. Our team of professionals work closely with patients and familiesto achieve the best possible level of independence and quality of life. In addition tothe inpatients service, the unit also offers out-patient therapy services which are runby Band 6 therapists and above.
Main duties of the job
The Successful Candidate should be/have:
- A registered Physiotherapist with the HCPC (Health Care ProfessionsCouncil)
- An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Physiotherapyprocess/interventions and an ability to apply these skills
- Experience in the field of Neurology / Rehabilitation
- Experience of continued professional development
- Experience of service development
- Able to effectively work as part of a team
- Excellent communication and time management skills
