Job summary
Apprentice Maintenance TechnicianPermanent Contract Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
We currently have a vacancy within the Department of Facilities Management for an Apprentice Maintenance Technician.
The purpose of this role is to train towards becoming a multi-skilled technician, being able to complete tasks across a range of disciplines within a maintenance environment.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to undertake an Installation/Maintenance Technician apprenticeship for which time will be given to attend the course.Following completion of the apprenticeship the post holder will have the skills and knowledge required to maintain both electrical and mechanical systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The post holder's duties will be phased in line with assessment based on skills, knowledge, experience and competence gained throughout the duration of the apprenticeship.Over the duration of the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will be trained to become competent in the below list of duties. The initial level of expertise will be accepted as one of a novice recruit and a development plan will be agreed in order to measure progress
