Job summary
To assist the Crime Prevention and Reduction Officer to ensure that the organisation complies with relevant Security Legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice/Best Industry Practice Standards.
To assist in the implementation of Trust security related policies/documentation, and work under direction to engaged with staff, ensuring the highest standards of security and environmental management.
Travel across Trust sites, undertaking investigations and supporting staff across MWL.

Main duties of the job
To undertake investigations of crime against staff, inspections, risk assessments and action plans, working collaboratively alongside our departments across the Trust.
Be aware of current and professional security advice, and how it can impact upon the Trust.
To report finding from investigations, risks assessments/audits to relevant personnel, and take direction from management on reviewing and actioning issues to ensure continued effectiveness.
Link between the Trust and Security teams where directed, as well as reporting back through governance structure.
Assist with the ongoing programmes of support work for violence and abuse against staff, ensuring compliance with Joint Agreement on Offences Against Emergency Workers and other local policies and processes.

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
