Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to provide a laser and micropigmentation service for the prosthetics department. The post holder will participate in the delivery of a laser and micropigmentation service taking adult and paediatric referrals from across Cheshire, Merseyside, North Wales and the Isle of Man, working on both Whiston and St Helen's sites on a rotational basis as the service needs dictate.
This demanding role will require excellent time management and organisational skills. The successful candidate must be able to prioritise their own workload and will require a flexible approach to working patterns as patient caseload will vary from week to week.
Full training will be available to the right candidate.

Main duties of the job
CLINICAL, DIAGNOSTIC & PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide a laser service to appropriate NHS patients.
- To provide a micropigmentation service to appropriate NHS patients.
- To undertake clinical risk assessments and adjust clinical practice accordingly.
- To adhere to infection control policies & procedures particularly with regard to needle disposal and hand hygiene.
- To be aware of and be empathetic with psychosocial patient conditions.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
- To organise & undertake the appropriate treatment to alleviate problems caused by the disfigurement.
- To organise further treatment and refer on as applicable for repeat treatments , medical review.
- To develop implement and review treatment protocols and clinical effectiveness in order to introduce best practice and evidence based interventions.
- Effective management of stock and financial resources.
- Responsible for collecting and maintaining data relating to service.
