n exciting opportunity has arisen within the Theatre Department for enthusiastic Recovery Support Workers.
The post holder is responsible to undertake their role in accordance with all procedures protocols, policies and guidelines to support the Theatre Recovery Department, to provide effective patient centred care when transporting postoperative patients back to wards and departments from theatre. That meets the needs of the patients and their families/carers in conjunction with the qualified recovery practitioner/ward nurse.
An Enhanced DBS with barred lists for both Adults & Children is required for this post.

Main duties of the job
- Establish and maintain effective communication links within the Multi-disciplinary Team
- Participate in Department and Trust wide audits when requested and support the introduction of any changes in practice shown to improve standards.
- To support departmental workloads by taking part in a flexible rota cross site and participate and support weekend/bank holiday rota to ensure a quality service is maintained.
- Follow instruction from recovery practitioners but also able to work alone and use own initiative
- To be compliant with the Health and Safety at Work Act and COSHH Regulations. Reporting any untoward incidences according to the Trust Policy.
- Supporting Theatre Manager in achieving Corporate Objectives.
- To report any untoward incident/minor repairs or actions that require attention to the Theatre/Recovery co-ordinator.
- To assist the theatre Manager/Team Leader with the smooth running of the theatre departments. Acknowledging own limitations and seeking and acting on advice where required.
- To work within the larger multi-disciplinary team within theatres. Providing efficient and effective communication throughout the team in order to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
- To provide support to all colleagues in the theatre/recovery environment.

- To provide support to all colleagues in the theatre/recovery environment.
- To support new team members in the area as own skills develop. Assist in the training programmes developed for individuals undergoing training in your work area.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Theatre Operational leads to achieve meeting agreed budget targets by effective use of resources.
RESEARCH & AUDIT
- This should be in bullet point format and should be included if the post holder has any responsibility to Research or Audit unless this is the key principle of their role ie, they are a Research & Development manager as this will be covered in their Key Duties.
