Job summary

The Cancer Services Team is looking to recruit a highly motivated, professional and pro-active Personal Assistant to work alongside the Directorate Manager and the Cancer Services Team.

This role is key to providing comprehensive Cancer Team support to those who use our services with the ultimate goal of improving patient experience.

The successful candidate will be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision but as part of a team and will posses the skills to work in a busy, complex environment which is going through a period of change.

Due to the sensitive nature of the content, the successful candidate will need adhere to confidentiality and have a full understanding of GDPR and Governance.

Time management and organisational skills are vital to this position therefore if you feel you have the experience and drive, then we would welcome an application.

Main duties of the job

Provide comprehensive PA and administrative support to the Directorate Manager and the Cancer Services Team in delivering their various roles within the Trust, which includes providing, and receiving complex and sensitive information

Ensure that the Directorate Manager is appropriately briefed in advance of scheduled meetings and Provide assistance to the Directorate Manager in relation to their Chairperson/membership of local, regional and national committees, including the organisation of venues, co-ordinating diaries and minute taking

Provide support to the Cancer Services team within the Trust by supporting departmental and other ad hoc meetings as required

Maintain the high profile, standards and quality of governance in all departmental business both internally and externally

Undertake specific projects, as dictated, for example Cancer Performance Team administration

Prioritise the workload effectively to ensure that meetings and reports are provided in a timely fashio
