Specialty Doctor in Ear, Nose and Throat
We wish to appoint a Speciality Doctor in ENT. The successful candidate will be joining an enthusiastic, forward thinking department compromising of 4 Consultants, 6 Specialty Doctors and 1 F2.
The department offers excellent training and development opportunities and the post holder is expected to support the elective and emergency demand. We will also expect the new appointee to make significant contributions to service development.
The post offered is a fixed term post. The post is offered on the basis that the successful applicant will work as part of a job plan. The salary will depend on the experience of the successful candidate.
This post will be subject to an enhanced CRB disclosure.
Main duties of the job
The job plan is based on a 10 PA plus on call contract and the successful candidate will be working mostly with their allocated consultant(s). This translates to supporting the consultant's PA's including general clinics, theatre sessions and ward rounds and there is time set aside for research, study and administration. The job plan may be adjusted upon depending on the service requirements.
Activities should take place on site and continued payment for such activities (which are considered essential for relicensing) is dependent on the successful applicant(s) providing proof that the time allocated for such activities has been used to undertake said activities.
The exact amount of time spent on such activities each week will vary with service demands.
