Job summary
The Information Governance team is looking to recruit a highly motivated, well-organised individual to support the Data Governance Manager in producing and delivering key initiatives throughout the Trust and to promote best practice in all issues relating to Information Governance.
Main duties of the job
The role involves the investigation of Information Governance related incidents, the development and delivery of relevant training/awareness materials and providing advice and guidance on matters related to confidentiality, information sharing, information rights and data protection. You will also assist with the submission of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the main requirements of the Data Protection Act and other associated legislation and guidance impacting upon Information Governance.
The role also includes responsibility for line managing the Data Quality team and the Information Governance support staff. Ideally you will have previous supervisory experience as well as the ability to motivate staff.
Applicants should have excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
