Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Wirral University Teaching Hospital Booking Office on a 12 month part time contract.
The post holder will work as part of a team to maintain an accurate booking system.
The role is part of Access and Performance and requires enthusiasm and flexibility as well as a willingness to adapt to change.
Applicants should be hardworking and have good IT skills. They should have excellent computer skills and a good understanding of RTT.
Main duties of the job
- Book and advise patients of appointment following agreed protocols.
- Ensure lists are booked to full capacity as per agreed template, making suggestions as to any modifications to ensure smooth running of clinic based demand.
- To assist in the production of waiting time statistics.
- First port of call for appointment queries, escalating any complaints to appropriatemanager as required.
- Check in patients ensuring correct personal details are held in Cerner making any updates necessary to the records.
- Status appointments once complete ensuring any further actions are undertaken in line with the Trust's Patient Access policy.
- Send out any relevant documentation to patients regarding their appointment and care.
- Liaise with other departments where necessary.
