Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our transfer to assess team.

We are looking for a therapy assistant to work 7.5 hours a day across a 5 day week for 12 months fixed term until 03.04.26 to cover maternity leave.

The post holder will be working within the transfer to assess team and will support the physiotherapists/occupational therapists in providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation interventions to patients.

Main duties of the job

The post will involve a wide range of duties including assisting the physiotherapist/occupational therapists to deliver treatment programmes to patients, clerical, administration, involving work with computers and housekeeping duties.

You will be expected to have a good standard of general education including maths, English and basic computer skills. Recent and relevant experience in a health care setting is essential. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will show a good awareness of patients needs. We are looking for someone who is flexible and enthusiastic. This is a physically demanding role.

It is essential to be able to show initiative, to be able to work effectively without direct supervision and to be able to take responsibility for delegated duties, under the guidance of a physiotherapist/occupational therapist.
