Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity available for two part time Dermatology Photography Support Workers to join our growing team.

The role is required to support the launch of a new Dermatology 2 week wait Telederm clinic at Wirral University Teaching Hospital, based at the Clatterbridge Diagnostics Centre, on Clatterbridge Hospital Site.

We have two part time roles available to cover clinics that will run Monday to Friday, on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for taking Telederm pictures for patients referred into the 2-week wait Telederm service via their GP.

The postholder/s will work within the CDC, but their main role will be directed by the dermatology department regarding the taking of the pictures.

The postholder will support the CDC team with relevant clinical support tasks as appropriate and as required.

Excellent communication skills are required as the postholder/s will be expected to deal effectively with patients and staff of all levels on a day to day basis.

Essential

  • A full practice based level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
  • English and maths at GCSE grade A-C (9-4) or 2 functional skills
  • Previous experience in a care environment o able to demonstrate a caring nature/life experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic computer/keyboard skills
  • Fine motor skills - for photography and other clinical tasks
  • Understands the need for strict confidentiality
  • Able to prioritise and organise work
  • Record keeping competency in handwritten and electronic records
  • Able to work under instruction, under pressure and as part of a team
