Job summary
Reporting to the Treasury Services Manager, the post holder will manage the Accounts Payable function within Treasury Services, ensuring that suppliers' goods receipt notes, invoices and credit notes are processed and paid promptly and accurately in accordance with the Trusts Financial Governance arrangements.
The post holder will lead a friendly and supportive team. They will be closely working with clinical and operational colleagues to support a first-class Finance team to ensure we provide the best possible care to patients and deliver the best value for money. An effective working knowledge of IT packages and MS Windows, and strong numerical and team working skills are essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines are vital.
Main duties of the job
Assigning work accordingly to the AP team
Providing financial training and procedure documents for finance and non-finance staff within the Trust.
Assisting in the design of suitable processes and controls to safeguard the Trust's cash, anddeliver the best service to suppliers and Trust staff.
Developing systems and implementing change to improve efficiency.
Maintaining Accounts Payable procedure notes for internal use and across the Trust
Analysing variances, monitoring and reporting on KPIs and outcomes
Leading on the agreement of balances process (creditors) for financial services
E Ensuring BPPC payment targets are met
