Job summary
These are new, full time (10PAs) consultant posts to support the delivery of inpatient care to our Acute Medicine patients and outpatient care to our Renal patients. Additional PAs can be negotiated on appointment. A potential job plan is outlined in the attached job description but for negotiation with the successful candidate.
Main duties of the job
This will be a 50/50 job split between acute and renal medicine. The acute medicine aspect will consist of ward rounds across the Urgent Medical Assessment Centre, Acute Medical Unit and Emergency Department. The renal aspect will consist of a number of weekly outpatient clinics with opportunities to progress subspecialty interests.
On-call working will be part of the acute medicine rota.

Essential
- Hold a medical qualification or qualification registered with the GMC
- Entry onto the Specialist Register for GMC or be within six months of obtaining CCT/CCST in GIM or equivalent
- Appropriate higher medical qualification such as MRCP
