Job summary

The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Officer will provide a comprehensive, quality administration service to the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Department. They will be a point of contact for the OH team and its clients, managers and external contracts.

Main duties of the job

Duties and Key Tasks

1. Duties - General

To provide a comprehensive administrative support to OHU ensuring confidentiality at all times with regards to clients personal and stressful situation which is often disclosed

To deal with telephone queries from clients, managers and outside contractors escalate to the appropriate OH member of staff if necessary

Requirement to change tasks at short notice to deal with unexpected situation or problems.

To receive and acknowledge incoming referral letters if appropriate

To refer letters to Consultant/Team Leaders

To book appointments via the Cohort System

To ensure clinics booked to full capacity

To make suggestions as to any modification to ensure smooth running of clinic based on demand

To freeze, unfreeze or delete clinics due to Annual/Study leave etc., as per agreement with Consultant/clinician

To re-book patients who have had to be cancelled due, for example, to sickness of clinician

To pull client's case notes from storage and prepare in advance of daily clinics.
