This is an exciting opportunity to join the Transfer of Care Hub in this admin role
The post holder will work alongside the admin team and the wider MDT in this busy team coordinating and supporting discharge from Wirral University Teaching Hospital.
There are opportunities to engage in training and development , and contribute to development of the service .
Main duties of the job
- Type letters and reports from hand written notes. Attend meetings and take minutes
- Prioritise, manually record and direct referrals to appropriate personnel using defined procedures
- Input and retrieval of confidential information from hospital and local authority databases using specialist referral forms
- Retrieve and collate information to input on databases. Fill out forms on behalf of Social Workers.
- Retrieve information from Cerner Millennium & Liquid Logic
- Receive and accurately record telephone messages and direct calls to appropriate personnel
- Direct all mail to appropriate personnel/departments
- Handle enquires from other hospital staff, local authority departments and the general public
- Handle petty cash
- Handle enquiries concerning patient travel expenses and payment of them, maintaining accurate financial record of fares given.
- Assist in the upkeep of case files and other records
- Photocopy/scan forms and documentation for the department
- Ordering of stationery through supplies
- Report any health and safety issues to appropriate person
- Assist other members of the administration team as necessary to cover staff sickness, holidays etc. to ensure that key tasks are performed and the core service is maintained
- Assist with cross site working
- Flexibility with regard to reasonable requests to adjust duties
