Job summary

Ward 38 is looking for nurses who are motivated and enthusiastic with a desire to join and support a busy team who pride themselves on delivering high standards of care.

Ward 38 is a 45 bedded respiratory/medical ward caring for patient with a wide range of respiratory problems.

Main duties of the job

Main duties will include delivering and evaluating the personalised health and wellbeing care needs of patients, in line with the Trust's Values. Including vital signs and EWS, early recognition and management of acutely ill patients, enteral feeding/ meeting nutritional needs, ECG, wound dressings, removal of sutures/clips, catheterisation, venepuncture, cannulation, blood transfusion, palliative and terminal care, care of central lines, admission and discharge, nasogastric tube insertion.

The learning opportunities within respiratory medicine are endless including tracheostomy care and non invasive ventilation (NIV).We are looking for Band 5 Staff Nurses who are forward thinking, dynamic, want to make a difference and are motivated to join our team. This post will give you the opportunity to work within a well-established team where the nurses and doctors work extremely closely together.Preceptor-ship will be offered to the successful candidates and opportunities will be given for further education and support. We as a team want to grow and broaden our nursing knowledge and we want you to be part of this. These posts are suitable for both newly qualified applicants and those with post registration experience.
