Job summary
We have the opportunity for individuals who are caring and compassionate and enjoy being part of a hard-working team to join us on Ward 31 in a Clinical Support Worker role to implement a high standard of care and ensure patient safety is paramount. As we open this clinical ward to assist with the seasonal demands across the Division of Medicine.
Previous care experience is essential, and completion of care certificate is desirable
Ward 31 is a 16-bed medical ward caring for adults specialising in general medicine, which is planned to open in November as a phased approached to our winter planning.
All successful candidates will be allocated to a suitable ward within the medicine division following the end winter period and closure of ward 31 when no longer required, to continue on with the nursing career at WUTH.
Main duties of the job
To assist Registered Nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team in implementing patients' care plan. Also undertake some clerical and domestic duties to ensure a safe environment.
Provide personal care to patients e.g. Bathing, toileting, feeding and care of the dying.Work in accordance to Trust policies and procedures.Demonstrates own duties to new starters and others as appropriate.Observe patients and reports any changes to a Registered Nurse.Perform basic observation process by using automated device for temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation's and respiratory.Take basic patient measurements e.g. height and weight
