Job summary
We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Nodal Point 2 doctor with NHS experience to support a busy Trauma and Orthopaedic Department on a fixed term basis until August 2023.

Main duties of the job
The Trust LAS Doctor posts are at the equivalent to Core Surgical Trainee level and will all work under the supervision of a surgeon or group of surgeons in a defined clinical area in a surgical specialty during the normal working day and with emergency surgeons during admission shifts.
Please be advised that this is a Locum Appointment for Service and has no recognised training component.

Essential
- Full registration with the GMC at time of application
- MBBS (or equivalent)
- Satisfactory completion of Foundation programme (or equivalent evidence of competence) at the time of application
- Current ALS certification
Desirable
- Distinctions, scholarships, prizes
- Satisfactory completion of core surgical training (or equivalent evidence of competence)
- MRCS
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Competent in basic clinical procedures eg CPR, infection control, physical examination, history taking etc
- Able to prioritise clinical need
- Aware of own limitations, consults senior colleagues appropriately and knows when to ask for help
- Understands the principles of patient confidentiality and data protection
- Understands the need for and appreciates the role of audit in clinical practice
